Reference: Hmm Spurs vs Man City will be a crucial game when it happens, It seems to have vanished from the fixture list, I know the original date was last week, but no rearranged date so fun, so while City are busy with "World Domination", and we are busy actually staying in a cup, the fixture has slipped through the net.

Ha Ha Derby and Forest fined for THAT brawl . Baggies home next against Blackpool . Got asked who I thought was the PL buy of the season earlier being bias I said Antonio Valencia first then Stephen Warnock, Landon Donovan and Thomas Vermaelen .

Darlo Derby have been involved in about 3 brawls this season, it's that bliddy Savage I think. I do wish we hadn't let them have Gilles Sunu on loan, we don't need our babies exposed to his malign influence. Vermaelen is a god, we absolutely love him at Arsenal, great player, great attitude, great price. RZB it is on ITV4 I think but our set top box isn't working and we don't have sky etc so son is watching ITV online. It was meant to be on C5 according to the listings but they must have changed it so they could show Liverpool. Things are looking bad for Rafa, I listen to the footie phone ins on 5live most nights and until the defeat at Wigan there were more Liverpool fans defending him than calling for his head - now it's almost impossible to find a Liverpool fan to back him

Is that boy the South Korean, Disley? I think he's called Lee My son was saying the other night when we watched MOTD what a good player he was and what an asset to Bolton. I'm still sticking with Vermaelen though

Reference: In all seriousness, I think the fa should investigate the delap throw. When they play at home, he takes around 30 secs just to throw the ball in... never seen such dull but effective footall. How long does the average corner take??

Reference: How long does the average corner take?? No idea, I expect the time is usually added on though if it takes long on corners. But there are alot more throw ins in a game than corners. Should time not be added on for throw ins? As he is taking forever drying the ball. Im pretty sure if it was any other player stood there for 30 secs waiting to throw a ball, they would probably be booked.

If you watch a Rory Delap throw, you'll notice that he takes it within a few seconds of all the players getting into the box and picking a target, which is no different to corners and free kicks...

Na, I was watching stoke a while back and when I was looking at the time he did actually take 30 seconds, took his time walking across the pitch, grabbed the towel and then dried the ball, threw the towel back, walked back towards the barrier to get a run up and then threw it.

I bet Delap's arms ache a lot after a match but his throws are impressive and at such speed with the height they go into the box .

Yes, but instead of focusing on what he is doing, you have to look at what is happening on the pitch as well. They pack the penalty area in the same way they do for corners and free kicks. He could probably throw it in quicker, but then the defenders and midfielders wouldn't have got forward and he'd be throwing it to virtually nobody, thus negating the entire impact of the throw. Furthermore, there's absolutely nothing in the rules to stop them from doing it, and there's nothing stopping every other team from doing it as well other than not having a player capable of doing it. They'd be the ones to cry about it the most though...

Oh well...I think micah richards should just stand around with the ball for 30 secs then. Had he not thrown the ball in so early we probably would of got a draw instead of a 4-3 loss.

Lol Croc That was a really good win for you. Congrats everyone who won today. I am really relieved after our late win, all the pundits keep telling us we need to win ugly and grind out results - well now they can shut up. Plus it looks like Hull will be relegated - and that makes me happy too,

That was the best game I've watched in ages. 100% effort and lots of atmosphere. Someone in the pub after the game referred to the stand I sit in as being hypocritical. Now I've travelled far and I've travelled wide .....etc.

(It pains me to see Johnson and Downing playing out of their skin for teams I don't like)
I thought that Beckham still had a job to do. He can't last 90 minutes but until someone consistent comes along he had a role to play. He was an impact player. He could come on with thirty minutes to go and use his famous clumsy tackles to take out CR9, Tevez, or especially the BTC.

I'm gutted Beckham won't make it cos he's still the betst we've got in terms of putting a ball in...not to mention the lift he gives to the crowd (which then lifts the team) when he comes out after the team have run out of ideas. He still had a role to play and the team will miss him on and off the pitch.

One thing that amazed me was that according to some of the Bolton fans Megson is still being paid 26k a week by their club I wish I got 26 grand a week after being so shite that I got booted - no wonder people think football has gone mad

Yeah, they're doing that rather than paying him off in one lump sum.
The great thing is if he takes the Hull job he'll lose the rest of the money he's owed...
