I saw Dead End years ago and thought it was an excellent film. I thought the cinematography by Greg Toland was in places exceptional, and I think can be regarded as a rehearsal for his work on Citizen Kane.

Fur- An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus. 6/10. I guess this is likely to be the least accurate biopic ever made, but then the title does say it's imaginary. Influenced to some extent by Cocteau's Beauty and the Beast and also Alice in Wonderland, but no fairytale for children.

Dual Alibi (1947) 4/10. Interesting idea having Herbert Lom as identical twin trapeze-artists who are conned out of a winning lottery ticket. Let down by a poor soundtrack and a low budget.
