Just wanted to pop in and answer the question from a few pages ago...your post counts, etc., from this community should come over when we import into LiveCloud properly.
I'm glad you're checking out the rest of LiveCloud.com...and sorry if there are any rough edges today. This launch pretty much affects every aspect of everything we do, so there are a lot of moving parts (and a lot of sleep-deprived folks here on our end). But I think if you hang tight with us, we'll come out on the other end with some fun stuff!
...and sorry we impacted you guys on an eviction night! It was unavoidable timing for us, because of all the other dominoes in the lineup.

I'm really confused. Got in here okay but when I was sorting out my profile in the livecloud place, it wouldn't let me have the username I have in here.

Is this the beginning of the end of our great time on gagajoyjoy. I knew it was to good to last.
What an absolute palavar trying to rejoin via this cloud crowd.
Its not just straightforward of them accepting the name and email address, you also have to remember your password and then it took ages for the verification to appear on my email.
Sadly I fear we are now going to have the same overuse of censorship by this new crowd. I hope I'm wrong and only time will tell.

Hey all, sorry about the random weirdnesses being experienced. I have a feeling everything will settle down over the next couple of days (fingers crossed). When this board migrates into LiveCloud, it will look similar, and will have similar features, similar smilies, etc. It will also be admin/modded by the same "crowd" as this board After all, LiveCloud is us.

Yes, gaga will be listed under "Communities." We will be condensing some of the lesser used forums I'm pretty sure, but it'll still be the same people talking about the same things.

It looks as though our posts are to be incorporated into another site (yet again). I would strongly advise that everyone saves copies of their posts and copies of important responses for reasons of community continuity and cohesion, if nothing else. It seems that the continuity of data, as we've discovered from the change to GaGaJoyJoy site from the C4 Communities site, doesn't comply with data protection laws. Data is lost!
Please make a backup of anything that you consider to be important.

Well Dave, that depends on your credibility in the IPCC. You know. The climate change panel! There are many individuals that are anxious on their findings, but their findings are vehemently contested in many walks of life. It's unfortunate that our C4 data is lost to us, but at least the remnants of C4 science followers is still with us for now. Let's hope that we keep it this way. Best regards, suricat.

Once GaGa is moved into LiveCloud (which runs on our new Eve Social platform), the forum and topic format will change a bit from this forum (which runs on our Eve Community platform). If you visit http://support.livecloud.com/ you can see what that format looks like. Also, while the userbase of GaGa is and was largely the former C4 members, GaGa was not simply a re-naming of the old Channel 4 forums. There wasn't any data loss since it was a brand new forum that was set up and announced to members of the C4 community. Once GaGa is imported into LiveCloud all of the members, categories, forums, topics, replies, private messages, etc should all be there -- there should be no data loss.

I suppose you can claim that there was data loss by virtue of the fact that the Channel 4 forums no longer exist, but that can be said of any website or online venue that shuts down.
