So Robbie Williams has a new best freind!

Robbie Williams paid tribute to his former Take That bandmates at his BBC Electric Proms show at London's Roundhouse venue last night (October 20).

Introducing 'No Regrets' as "a song about the band I used to be in", Williams described his reconciliation with the group during the gig – his first in three years.

"I've got a new best mate and his name's Gary Barlow," he said. He also changed the final lyric of the song to "I guess the love we have is officially alive", as opposed to "dead".

That boy is a complete joke!. after all the crap he gave Gary Barlow and the rest of the band in the past, now his career is hanging in the balance he's having to grovel and try to make us beliveve there are no har feelings, and now Take That are a massive success again, and much more talented that that tosser will ever be. At least Gary is a natural talent and a real song writer who doen't need anyone who help him create hits, Robbie is a toss pot, I've never liked him and never will.

I'll call the men in white coats for ya!

I partly agree , the break up wasnt very nice but I do think Robbie was brilliant on his own.

We went to see him at Milton Keynes about 8 years ago, and he was fantastic live.

I saw a brief interview with Gary Barlow and he was asked about Robbie, and he said quite nice things about him...so, I think they're all glad to be friends again..

His solo career went a lot better than Gary Barlow's. The only thing I remember about that was, when he heard Robbie was releasing "Strong", he rushed out a song of his own called "Stronger". Pillock

I was puffing  like a train &   at anyone who dared look in my direction.
.

I don't mind that they are mates again, what I can't forgive is Robbie wanting the twins to win X Factor....

Werll, Gary wasn't in his car when I saw him the other day.

I think Robbie is overrated, now his dad has a brilliant singing voice....

I think he's a bit of a plank, but the stuff he did with Guy Chambers was good
His Dad? Time for your meds now missus

Take That should have the occasional beer with the bloke, but tell him to feck off if he suggests joining again. They don't need him at all.
If only Robbie can get his head together he won't need them. I can hardly see the very average Take That doing large gigs.

I know where the poster is coming from. I've seen Lee Evan's Dad and he is better than Robbie, TT, Nick Griffiths and Lee Evans put together.

I've never been a fan of Robbie's really tbh.
His Dad sings at Butlins doesn't he? Can't say I've ever heard him

Joe ,  they sold out Wembley stadium for 4 nights in the summer, and played to over 1.2 million people on the tour.  That's on the large side.

Did they really? It was just a guess on my part. I'm just trying to be sociable. I don't really know very much about the subject TBH.

Like both Robbie and Take That - but do prefer Robbie's solo stuff - always have.

He was brilliant last night, completely back on form and thanks for doing my two favourites really well Robbie, "Millennium" and "Angels"

Also loved his cover of "Video killed the radio star" at the end of the concert, brilliant.

I noticed Trevor Horne on the stage, wished I watched it until the end now,. I also noticed James Corden in the audience.

Has he apologised for stealing 'Angels' yet?

I knew they line would come up on here today, ....it seems to have followed us from C4, via gaga.....

Robbie was spotted at a recording studios going to meet them wasn't he before, all whats happened is in the past and you have to look forward so it's all good they've forgiven and all friendly again I would rather Robbie not re-join Take That despite liking the band when he was in it.

i think both jason orange and the lil whispy one made it more than clear after the group split, that they felt bad for realising what state robbie was in and felt they had let him down and treated him less than well..wasn't all one sided with big bad robbie(although i can't stand him)

I can't bear Robbie Williams - the man is so smug it's unbelievable.

Although I have to say he has written some good songs

His new one however, is rotten.

Loved Take That, love Robbie on his own and love Take That without Robbie - would also love them to appear together aswell  Gary Barlow has said quite a few times that he never realised what Robbie was capable of when he was with Take That and it was only when he was solo that it all came out - he has, to be fair, been very nice about Robbie and I for one, hope they have all made up!

I'm so glad they're friends again, but I would prefer them to perform separately, in case they fall out again.

hiya Scatts   I agree with you.  I watched a programme some time back, and well before Take That made their comeback.  It was a programme about failed boy bands and it showed some of the Take That boys at their lowest ebb, with no money.  I can't remember which one of them it was but they were at risk of losing their home.  It was after Mark appeared on CBB.  Gary Barlow was doing well because of his songwriting royalties but the others were all struggling financially.  This was at the time when Robbie was at the height of his popularity and they invited him to join them to try to mend bridges.  He didn't turn up.

I love Robbie Williams, he is a brilliant singer.  But I also admire Gary Barlow as a songwriter, and he also has a beautiful voice given the right song.  Like you, I would love them all to make up and forgive and forget, but professionally they should leave things as they are.  Maybe Gary could write a good song for Robbie because Robbie needs another hit.
