Reference: Why does she get the full amount if she walked? It would depend on the contract. But they assumed they would have to pay out the full amount, this restricted the whole show by miles. They even had to travel business class instead of 1st, and they got rid of many camera men that's why we didn't see much, they just used the fixed camera's for a lot of the time.

The Daily Star, reports that ITV had to lay off staff and cut out expensive Bushtucker trials in order to afford Katie’s hefty fee. A source said: “The booking of Kate Price has really cost this show. A lot of money was spent on her and, as a result, cuts had to be made elsewhere. “The producers genuinely thought having Jordan go back into the jungle after her split from Peter Andre would be a great coup. But it has blown up in their faces.” The insider added: “Cuts had to be made. ITV is already cash-strapped like other stations. But a huge slice of their jungle budget went on Jordan. Now they are wondering, ‘Was it worth it?’.” We don’t think it was worth it, in fact for us the series only picked up when ‘The Pricey’ left. If they had went with their original lineup, it would have been a far superior season from day one. Hopefully that’s a lesson learned for ITV.

They said on Sky News that viewing and voting figures had dropped since Katie left so I'm not sure why they'd be glad she left. They must have made money from everyone who was voting every night for her to do the trials
